CALL FOR PAPERS
Forty-Seventh Annual Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (
HICSS-47) (http://www.hicss.hawaii.edu)
January 6 - 9, 2014 (Monday-Thursday)
Hilton Waikoloa, Big Island (http://www.hiltonwaikoloavillage.com)

Track: ORGANIZATIONAL SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY
Minitrack: BUSINESS PROCESS INTELLIGENCE

According to a recent report by Gartner research, the market value in 2011
for business process management (BPM) technologies was $2.4 billion with a
projected 9.65% growth rate up to 2016. The strong BPM technology market
growth indicates BPM’s direct contribution to enterprise performance by
achieving operational excellence and process agility and the increasing
importance of BPM research. Business intelligence (BI) technologies have
also gained increasing attention in recent years, which provide historical,
current, and predictive views of business operations based on advanced data
collection, extraction, and analysis of large data sets to improve
business decision
making. Recently, interesting and innovative concepts, technologies, and
applications emerged from the intersection of BPM and BI disciplines.
Examples are process mining, automatic process mapping, intelligent
process configuration,
and advanced process analytics, which can be collectively referred to as
Business Process Intelligence (BPI).

BPI is still an emerging research discipline, which demands much more
research effort to advance. In this minitrack, we are interested in
innovative technologies, methodologies, and theories in business process
 intelligence.

The focus of the minitrack includes but is not limited to the following
