The ICSOB Steering Committee is calling for statements of intent to host
the 5th International Conference on Software Business in 2014 and beyond.

The ICSOB Steering Committee is now requesting statements of intent
to bid for ICSOB 2014. Statements of intent should be brief (a maximum of 2
pages) and should contain information on

   - The site (local infrastructure and travel connections)
   - The organization team: a proposal for a General Chair, a Program
   Chair, and an Organizing Chair (the person(s) in charge, their experience
   in running conferences, their research experience in the software business
   domain)
   - Statements of intent must be submitted in electronic form to Slinger
   Jansen <slinger.jansen at uu.nl>

The timeline is as follows:

   - June 7th 2013: statement of intent due
   - June 11th 2013: review notification
   - June 14th 2013: Steering committee meeting
   - June 2013, at ICSOB 2013: announcement for 2014

Institutions wishing to make a bid should be able to provide the usual
facilities to run a conference for up to 150 delegates including both
plenary sessions and at least two parallel streams.

Bids will be evaluated using the following criteria:

   1. Academic reputation
   2. Level of commitment
   3. Transport and accessibility
   4. Experience of the organisation in hosting international conferences

An organizating team is expected to be strongly embedded in research into
software business and entrepreneurship.
