COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY-PUEBLO invites applications for the position of:
Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems
SALARY:         $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 Annually

OPENING DATE: 05/21/13

POSITION SUMMARY:
*This position is contingent on the availability of funding.

This is a non-tenure track, nine-month position.   Faculty positions have defined responsibilities in teaching, scholarship/research, and service (University, professional and community).

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach:
    Fall 2013:       3 undergraduate courses (Computer Networking, IT Security, and Network Systems Administration)
    Spring 2014:  3 undergraduate courses (Computer Networking, IT Security, and IT Security Management)

Prepare and present course materials; administer appropriate tests; evaluate student outcomes; select texts; prepare, administer and grade assignments; and assign final grades. Participate in proposing curriculum changes and program modifications.

Engage in appropriate scholarly activities to maintain currency in disciplinary fields. Establish a research stream that generates scholarly outputs including conference presentations, refereed publications and other scholarly works.

Participate in service activities that include shared governance, professional service and community service.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

    PhD or ABD in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field
    Previous teaching experience in CIS/MIS or related field
    Evidence of scholarly work in CIS/MIS or related field

Preferred:

    Successful experience in college teaching
    Experience with and commitment to working with diverse student populations and commitment to equity in education at all levels
    Experience with and/or commitment to the use of technology as an instructional tool
