The Pacific Telecommunications Council<http://www.ptc.org/> (PTC) hosts its annual conference PTC'14: New World, New Strategies in Honolulu, Hawaii 19-22 January 2014. Register for PTC'14<https://registration.ptc.org/ptc14/index.cfm>.



Papers across a range of telecom-related topics are welcomed, including:

 *   wireless and mobility
 *   consumerization of IT (BYOD)
 *   Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D)
 *   Internet of Things
 *   cloud and big data
 *   Internet governance policy, cybersecurity
 *   satellite, submarine cables
 *   new business models

Proposals and papers are also sought for PTC's annual research paper prizes:

 *   O.S. Braunstein Student Prize Award<http://www.ptc.org/ptc14/images/pdf/OSBraunsteinAward.pdf> for the best student authored paper: valued at over $2000, deadline: 26 August 2013

 *   Meheroo Jussawalla Research Prize Award<http://www.ptc.org/ptc14/images/pdf/MeherooJussawallaAward.pdf> for best overall paper submission: valued at over $2500, deadline: 13 September 2013
