[AISWorld] Immediate opening for a visiting position - Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State University seeks to fill a visiting assistant professor position in the Department of Management Science and Information Systems, effective August 2013 at the main campus in Stillwater, Oklahoma.   This a one year position, likely a good position for a candidate in between schools or one who wants to gain some experience before competing for a tenure track position.



The course load is 3-4 classes per semester, two semesters per year.  There will be multiple preps required.  There may be potential for summer teaching and support in Summer, 2014.  As a participating faculty member, there will be many opportunities for collaboration with researchers in one of the most productive departments in the Spears School of Business.



Requirements: PhD or ABD in Management Information Systems(or related area) from an AACSB accredited university; Ph.D. STRONGLY preferred.  Previous university level teaching strongly preferred as well.



Specifics:



Applicants must be able to perform well (using evidence-based instructional metrics) in the classroom in AT LEAST 2 of these areas:



1) Business intelligence/analytics.

2) Technical data communications and information assurance (security)

3) Large sections of Introduction to IS classes

4) Web-development and programming.



Experience in more areas is strongly preferred. Salary is competitive and based on experience.  Some conference travel support is also available.
