Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems

The Department of Management and Information Sciences at The Romain College of Business at the University of Southern Indiana (USI) seeks to fill a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Information Systems starting August 2014.

Primary responsibilities include teaching CIS courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Salary and benefits are competitive, based on qualifications and experience. Doctorate or ABD in MIS, or CIS is required, with teaching or IT experience preferred.

The successful candidate should have a strong desire for community engagement via continuous interaction with the local area businesses and organizations. Opportunities for professional development through community engagement include working with businesses and other organizations by applying expertise in a variety of undertakings.

The Department of Management and Information Sciences is home to approximately 10 Computer Information Systems and Computer Science faculty members and approximately 200 undergraduate students who together span a range of experience and research areas in computer science and computer information systems. Housed in the USI Romain College of Business, the Department of Management and Information Sciences is uniquely situated to offer students exposure to broad computing issues as well as practical business practices. The Romain College of Business is AACSB-accredited. Enrollment includes 1,700 undergraduate majors and 100 part-time MBA students. The College of Business currently has 51 full-time faculty members.
