Faculty Rank or Job Title:     Assistant Professor

Qualified candidates should hold a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management 
Information Systems, or equivalent, or expect to complete their degree 
by Fall 2014.

We seek applicants with a strong commitment to high impact, managerially 
relevant, and empirical research in Information Systems. They must have 
a strong record of, and continuing potential for, quality research and 
teaching. Candidates must have strong research skills and potential for 
scholarly research as demonstrated by presentations in academic 
conferences and/or publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Candidates should also have a demonstrated ability to teach effectively, 
with specialization in one or more of the following areas: data 
analytics, system analysis and design, enterprise systems, business 
processes, telecommunications, computer networking, hands-on technology 
(programming, web, database or mobile development) or other related MIS 
areas. Candidates must have an ability or a willingness to teach in 
either a traditional classroom or an online setting.

All candidates should have a willingness to interact with the business 
community.

Preference will be given to candidates who can design and deliver 
innovative courses in the well-established Master of information Systems 
program. The department especially encourages applications from 
candidates with research expertise in business data analytics. The 
successful candidate will engage in high quality scholarly research and 
develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business 
analytics or related subjects. Applicants should possess an ability or a 
willingness to teach in both a traditional classroom or an online 
setting. The ability to work with industry and colleagues in the 
department, school and university are also desired qualifications.

Applicants should submit a cover letter along with a curriculum vita 
detailing educational background, research and professional experience, 
copies of up to four selected publications, and evidence of teaching 
effectiveness such as teaching evaluations or other documentation. 
Applicants should also arrange to provide three letters of reference.
