[AISWorld] Position Announcement -- Clinical, Lecturer, Executive Professor in MIS -- Texas A&M University

The Department of Information and Operations Management in the Mays Business School, Texas A&M University has an opening for up to two non-tenure track faculty positions in Management Information Systems (MIS) starting September 2014. The faculty positions may be at the Clinical, Lecturer, or Executive Professor level. Clinical faculty are doctorally qualified in Information Systems and teach six courses per year. Lecturers will have a Master's degree in the subject domain and teach eight courses per year. Executive Professors will have an advanced degree and substantial industry experience. There are also research and service expectations for all levels.

The department has 191 undergraduate MIS majors and 220 MIS master's students. The 13 MIS faculty consist of four tenured, four Clinical, two Executive Professors, and three Lecturers. Salaries of clinical faculty correspond with median nine month salaries at AACSB accredited schools. We also house the Center for Management Information Systems, headed up by 'Jon Jasperson (Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Department Head), and supported by 17 firms.

The Texas A&M business undergraduate program is ranked 24th by U.S. News & World Report and 33rd by BusinessWeek. The Mays MBA program is ranked 35th by U.S. News & World Report and 26th by BusinessWeek.

The College Station-Bryan metro area has a population of 230,000, a low cost of living (including no state income taxes), excellent schools, very low crime, and excellent health care. The College Station airport is served by United and American Airlines. College Station is a 1.5 hour drive to Houston, 2 hours to Austin, and 3 hours to Dallas-Fort Worth.
