The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels and work effectively with other members of the Department in developing our vision to be, within the next decade, a top 10 centre in the UK for research and education in computer science and informatics.
The successful candidate will have a relevant doctorate. We are particularly interested in individuals who have a track record in one or more of the following areas:

People and Interactivity Centre
Centre for Intelligent Data Analysis
Centre for Systems and Synthetic Biology.
We also actively work with a range of public and private sector collaborators to ensure that our research is timely, relevant and has a positive impact on society. Our current research grant portfolio exceeds £13m. The Department comprises over 40 academics, and over 140 PhD students. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise DISC was ranked top in the UK in terms of 'Research Power' in the LIM Unit of Assessment.
