The Computer Information Systems Department at Middle Tennessee State University is inviting applications for one tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Information Systems starting August 2014. We are looking to identify individuals with outstanding potential for excellence in research and teaching. Knowledge of database, object-oriented languages, and data analytics is highly desirable. All areas of information systems will be considered. Teaching and research in information systems and/or data analytics is expected.

The CIS department has 20 full-time faculty and over 370 majors and offers a baccalaureate and master's of science degree in information systems as well as an MIS cognate in the MBA program. Knowledge of database, object-oriented languages, and data analytics is highly desirable. All areas of information systems will be considered. Teaching and research in information systems and/or data analytics is expected. Doctorate in IS or closely related field required; ABD considered if close to completion.
