[AISWorld] IUI governance - second call

To all participants in previous IUI conferences and those interested in IUI research-

Self-Nominations are now being accepted for two steering committee roles in the new IUI community.  Please nominate yourself if you are interested in taking an ACTIVE role in leading the IUI community.  Nominate yourself in the Elections section of the community web page: http://www.sigchi.org/communities/iui/

The schedule for the election period is as follows:

Oct 15-Nov 13: Self-nominations accepted for the two elected steering committee positions that are available this round.

Nov 14-Nov 27: 2 week voting period, culminating in a formal announcement of the winners shortly thereafter.  (Note that the elections page says that winners will be announced Dec 12, but we expect that it will actually be much sooner)


NOTE: You must be a member of the community to nominate yourself for a leadership position and vote in the elections.  To become a member of the community, please visit the following URL and join:

There is one requirement for joining the community, which is that you must be a member of ACM and either SIGCHI or SIGART.  To become a member of ACM, please visit http://acm.org/.  If you are a member of ACM, but not of SIGCHI or SIGART, please visit http://myacm.acm.org/, login using your ACM web account, click "My Services" in the left sidebar and click "Join SIGs" near the bottom of the page.  There is a small fee to join a SIG, and SIGART is the cheaper option at $25.
