Call for Mini-Track Proposals

 

19th Americas Conference on Information Systems

Savannah, GA, August 7-10, 2014

 

Mini-Track Submission Deadline: November 4, 2013.

The purpose of this track is to provide a forum for academics and
practitioners to identify and explore the issues, opportunities, and
solutions regarding intelligence related to business and systems including
the social web, intelligent systems design, implementation, integration and
deployment. An increasing number of artificial intelligence-based systems
are being developed in different application domains employing a variety of
tools and technologies. This track is intended to increase
cross-fertilization of ideas from these areas, share lessons learned and
stimulate areas for further research.

 

This Track is sponsored by AIS Special Interest Group on Ontology Driven
Intelligent Systems (SIGODIS). Selected papers from this Track will be
invited for fast tracked publication in special issues of the International
Journal of Intelligent Information Technologies (IJIIT) and the Journal of
Information Science and Technology (JIST). 

 

The topics that are of interest to this track (but not limited to):

.        Semantic Web and Ontology Driven Intelligent Systems 

.        Context-aware intelligent systems

.        Artificial intelligence technologies and tools

.        Hybrid artificial intelligent  systems

.        Intelligent data analysis

.        Data mining, text mining, opinion mining, sentiment analysis

.        Social media and Web analytics

.        Ethical evaluation of intelligent systems

.        Intelligent health systems

.        Sensor-based intelligent systems

.        Intelligent systems for wireless applications

.        Intelligent applications for disaster management

.        Intelligence in medical decision applications

 

The mini-track proposal should contain the following information:

a) mini-track chairs (names, emails, affiliation); 

b) mini-track title; 

c) short description of mini-track for the AMCIS 2014 website (up to 150
words); 

d) call for papers for your mini-track.

Important Dates:

     . November 4, 2013: Submit mini-track proposals via the online
submission system.

     . January 4, 2014: Manuscript submissions for AMCIS 2014 begin  

 

Mini-track chairs will be responsible for: 

a) promoting their mini-track to generate manuscript submissions to AMCIS
2014; 

b) soliciting and assigning reviewers for manuscripts submitted to the
mini-track; and 

c) making recommendations to track chairs about each manuscript submitted to
the mini-track.
