CALL FOR PAPERS
REJ Author Development Workshop at REFSQ 2014
Organized by the Requirements Engineering Journal (REJ<http://www.springer.com/computer/swe/journal/766>) in conjunction with the 20th International Working Conference on Requirements Engineering: Foundations for Software Quality (REFSQ<http://refsq.org/2014/>).
About REJ
The Requirements Engineering journal, published by Springer, is the primary journal dedicated to publishing articles focusing on advances in theory and practice in the field of Requirements Engineering. The journal is motivated by a multi-disciplinary view that considers the process of eliciting, specifying, negotiating, and validating requirements as being influenced by social, organization and cognitive factors as much as by technological ones.
Aims and Scope of the Workshop
The workshop is intended to provide guidance to Requirements and Software Engineering researchers interested in publishing in top journals such as REJ.
It is particularly designed to assist colleagues who have not been able yet to get their work published in top outlets, but have already advanced it to a very promising state. Participants will be selected on the basis of a full paper of their in-progress work.
The workshop is intended to last one day during which the following activities are envisaged:

· Introduction to REJ policies, review process and publication data.

· Presentations by senior journal editors on publishing at top journals.

· Shared discussion by participants and feedback advise by senior editors on individual contributions.
Submission Guidelines and Important Dates
Interested participants should send a paper (max 6000 words), with an abstract (max 200 words). The paper should include a title with full contact details of the author(s).
Papers should be sent in word or pdf format to Professor P. Loucopoulos (periloucopoulos at icloud.com<mailto:periloucopoulos at icloud.com>), clearly marked as a “Submission to the REJ Author Workshop” in the subject line.

January 5, 2014: Deadline for manuscript submission.
January 27, 2014: Workshop papers notification.
March 15, 2014: Deadline for camera-ready manuscripts.

Publication
Accepted papers will be published in the joint REFSQ workshop proceedings at ceur-ws.org<http://ceur-ws.org>.
Following the workshop, accepted papers may also be invited to submit an extended and improved version to the REJ, taking into consideration the discussion and advise given to authors during the workshop. Such papers will undergo the normal REJ review process.
Participation in the workshop does not guarantee publication of the authors’ work in REJ.
