The Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship at Washington State University located in Pullman, WA is seeking qualified candidates for one full-time, permanent, tenure-track position in Management Information Systems starting in August 2014.  We will consider candidates at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor.

Duties:

The position requires teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching in online programs may also be expected. The normal teaching load is 6 hours (2 courses/semester). A productive research program is also required and must result in publications in high-quality journals.  The successful candidate will also be expected to make significant service contributions to the department, college, university, community, and profession commensurate with rank.



Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

·         An earned Ph.D. (or strong evidence of completion of Ph.D. before employment start date) in information technology or a closely related field from a nationally or internationally AACSB accredited university.

·         Research record of publishing in and/or targeting the field’s premier journals.

·         Demonstrated excellence in teaching technical courses.



Preferred Qualifications

·         Demonstrated excellence in teaching IS courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

·         Proven record of publication success in premier IS journals and a desire or demonstrated ability to work with Ph.D. students.

·         Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with diverse student and community populations and the potential to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching, and service.

·         Strong understanding of basic business concepts across major business functions developed through academic coursework and/or business skills.

Term, Compensation and Support:

Nine-month academic year, beginning on August 18, 2014. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience; benefits are competitive; the retirement system is TIAA/CREF. Initial summer research support is normally available.
