Dear ISWorld Listserv Members:

We are pleased to invite you to submit papers to the upcoming 15th annual Global Information Technology Management Association (GITMA) conference to be held June 22-24, 2014 in Philadelphia, PA, USA.

The GITMA conference brings researchers, educators and practitioners together from around the world and fosters an atmosphere conducive to the supportive presentation of emerging and mature research ideas.  Internationally based collaborations, cross-disciplinary research alliances, doctoral student connections and international data collection efforts always result from the GITMA conference.

Our conference encourages the exchange of research on topics related to international IT topics.  We typically have representation of scholars from many nations at our annual conference, and welcome you to join us this year.

The tracks for the GITMA conference include the following:

-  Information Technology in Europe:  The development, adoption, diffusion and use of IT in Europe  (Track Chair, Pierluigi Rippa, Università di Napoli Federico II)
-  Information Technology in Asia:  The development, adoption, diffusion and use of IT in Asia (Track Chair, Haji Afzaal Seyal, Institute Technology Brunei)
-  Issues in Global Information Security:  Developing and using measures to improve information security  (Track Chair, Humayun Zafar, Kennesaw State University)
-  IT in the International Hospitality Industry:  The development, adoption, diffusion and deployment of IT in the hospitality industry (Track Chairs, Naveed Baqir, University of Delaware, and Ajay Aluri, West Virginia University)
-  IT for Social Benefit in Developing Countries:  The development and deployment of IT to advance social causes (Track Chair, Choton Basu, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater)
-  Cross Cultural Issues in International IT Deployment:  The role of culture in implementation of IT (Track Chairs, Amy Woszczynski, Kennesaw State University and Tim Jacks, Southern Illinois University)
-  Global E-Commerce:  The use of information technology in global business (Track Chair, Praveen Pinjani, Delaware State University)
-  Global IT Innovation:  Acceleration of commercialization and industry through the use of innovative IT (Track Chair, Jaideep Ghosh, George Mason University)
-  Strategic Applications of International IT Infrastructures:  Developing and deploying strategic applications of IT globally (Track Chairs, Jerry Chang, UNLV, Mahesh Raisinghani, Texas Women’s University)
-  Health Information Systems IT:  Utilization of Information technology for health (Track Chair, Raj Sharman, SUNY Buffalo School of Management)
-  Leadership in IT:  Issues that pertain to leadership of organizations in the IT industry and/or leadership of the IT function within organizations (Track Chairs, Kevin Lowe, University of North Carolina- Greensboro, and Oran Alston, West Virginia University)
-  Social Media:  Issues pertaining to the value of social media in the international context (Track Chair:  Anil Kumar, Central Michigan University)
-  ePolitics:  The politics of using information systems (Track Chair, Celia Romm Livermore, Wayne State University)
-  Enterprise IT Management:  This track focuses on (1) the IT Deployment and Management, and (2) the Support of the Enterprise IT Customers (Track Chairs, Kathy Hartzel, Duquesne University and Karen Patten, University of South Carolina)
-  IS and Economics:  Economics of Information Technologies (Track Chair, Virginia Kleist, West Virginia University)
-  Supply Chain Management:  Managing global information flows for production supply chains (Track Chairs, Martin Nunlee, Delaware State University, Ednilson Bernardes, West Virginia University)
-  Global Big Data:  Societal, legal and global issues of big data, including privacy issues, comparative regulatory and legal structures, and cultural differences (Track Chair:  Bill Spangler, Duquesne University)
-  Mobile IT:  Communication and networking across mobile platforms  (Track Chair, Nanda Surendra, West Virginia University)
-  Diversity and Inclusion in IS:  Issues associated with inclusivity and underrepresented groups in technology across cultures and nations (Track Chairs, Lakshmi Iyer, University of North Carolina- Greensboro, Meera Joseph, University of Johannesburg)
-  Student Research Colloquium:  Graduate student research presentations (Track Chairs, Dolphy Abraham, Alliance University- Bangalore, Mahesh Raisinghani, Texas Women’s University)

Our keynote speakers include Paul A. Pavlou, Ph.D., Milton F. Stauffer Professor of Information Technology and Strategy, at the Fox School of Business at Temple University, and the CIO of Mattel, Inc., Mr. Paul Rasmusson. Accepted submissions will be published in the conference proceedings.  Selected papers will be considered for journal publication in JGITM, JITCAR and JIPS.
