Hello -
I am seeking referral of excellent students for the purpose of doing a funded PhD under my supervision (in conjunction with Dr. Nilesh Saraf) in the Information Systems area at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. Start date: September 2014.
The ideal candidate will have excellent GMAT scores, very good writing skills, and a record of previous publication.
In addition to pursuing PhD studies, the student will work with us as a Research Assistant on a project focused on the topic of online persuasion. T he central question motivating our research is to understand how design elements of IT systems in service of a particular persuasive agenda should be structured to move users to change their behavior and attitudes. A model has been created and will be tested. Based on findings from this first study, the empirical model will be further validated in two settings – e-commerce and e-health.
