We seek a post-doctoral researcher to join a research project on Examining Users' Collective Privacy Management for Online Social Networks.  The goals of this project are to: 1) improve the theoretical understanding of information privacy in the context of online social networks; 2) assess the efficacy of various privacy intervention strategies developed or proposed by the technologists and regulators; and 3) enhance the persuasiveness of privacy and security awareness and training programs.

This position is in the College of Information Sciences and Technology at the Pennsylvania State University. This is a full time, 12-month, non-tenure position, renewable dependent upon performance. Start Date is immediate. We would prefer a commitment of 2 years, negotiable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Develop and carry out experiments and surveys to test the behavioral hypotheses underlying user privacy behaviors in the context of online social networks.
- Publish research results at top-tier academic journals.
-Help manage graduate and undergraduate research students.

Desirable qualifications:

-Ph.D. (or soon-to-be Ph.D.) in management information systems, social psychology, communication, or human-computer interaction.
-Expertise in quantitative research methods.
-Experience and enthusiasm for communicating research results at scientific conferences, and publishing research results at top-tier academic journals.
