ASDENCA - International Workshop on Advances in Services DEsign based on
the Notion of CApabiliy

(Website: http://delab.csd.auth.gr/caise2014/workshops.php?workshop_id=1)

Workshop Call

The notion of capability is gaining much presence within the field of
Information Systems Engineering. Historically, it has been examined in
Economics, Sociology, and Management Science. More recently, it has been
considered in the context of business-IT alignment, in the specification
and design of services using business planning as the baseline, in
Enterprise Architecture, and in Service Oriented Architecture.
We encourage the original research contributions exploring the challenges
and solutions related to the meaning and usage of capability in Information
Systems Engineering, as well as industrial case studies illustrating the
use of this notion. The topics are among but not limited to:

* Capability modelling
* Evolving capabilities and capability-driven reengineering
* Transferring capability knowledge from other domains to IS engineering
* Capability elicitation, analysis and validation
* Capability and business process
* Capability and services
* Evidence-based research in capability and capability-driven development
(grounded theory, experiment, case study, interview, questionnaire)
* Organizational context and capability
* Information system-enabled capability
* Capability mining
* Capability-driven information system testing
* Case studies in capability use
* Experiences in capability modeling and engineering
* Capability management approaches

Organization

ASDENCA 2014 is the one-day workshop organized in conjunction with the 26th
International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering (CAiSE
2014 Π http://delab.csd.auth.gr/caise2014/) in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Organization Chairs
Jelena Zdravkovic (Stockholm University, Sweden)
Pericles Loucopoulos (University of Manchester, UK)
Oscar Pastor (Universitat Polit cnica de Val ncia, Spain)
