NITIM International Graduate School is proud to announce its 2014 Summer School in Bergamo from June 25 - 28. The School theme for this year will be “Complexity and Dynamics of Networks in the ‘Digital Age’. As networks increasingly becoming a constant feature of both our institutional and technological environment; ew methods for managing these networks are needed. Fortunately new research frontiers are developing in network science, complexity studies, and systems of systems approaches. The goal of this summer school is to draw upon these and other new ideas to develop the newest ideas in technology and innovation management. 
With this call, we invite Ph.D. candidates to submit their research proposals for evaluation and an opportunity to participate in the Summer School, which is affiliated with, and immediately following, the International Conference on Engineering, Technology and Innovation2014 - ICE  (http://www.ice-conference.org).
Topics
We welcome doctoral research topics, including but not limited to, the following themes: 
● Managing networks for innovation
● Responsible innovation and entrepreneurship
● Mechanism and patterns of technology development and diffusion
● Commercializing strategies for technology-based products
● Platforms for high-tech product development and marketing
● Service-based innovation and product-service integration
● Program, portfolio and project management for R&D and high-tech venture
● ICT-enabled/ virtual collaboration and new modes of organizing
● Open innovation, community of practice and architecture for participation
● Crisis network management and governance
● Communication and collaboration infrastructures for crisis management
● Humanitarian crisis response logistics
● Coordination and collaboration in heterogeneous actor networks
● Engagement models for entrepreneurs and volunteers in crisis management
All Ph.D. candidates interested in participating in the 2014 Summer School, we request to make a submission directly to the Consortium Chair, Nadia Noori (nadias at salleurl.edu).
