*One-Year Visiting Position in Information Systems & Technology Weber State
University*

*Description*

The Department of Business Administration at Weber State University is
accepting applications for a nine-month Visiting Professor of Information
Systems and Technology, beginning August 2014. The successful candidate
will have demonstrated ability to teach in at least two of the following
areas: Networking, Web design and development, ERP systems, Business
intelligence & data analytics, Mobile apps development, and Information
Systems topics (e.g., Accounting IS, etc.). *There is a possibility that
the successful candidate could be hired onto a tenure-track position
starting August 2015.*



*Requirements*

Completed doctorate in IS/MIS or other related appropriate discipline is
required for this Visiting position (however, an appropriate master's
degree may be considered for the position of Instructor). ABD may be
considered. Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated
history of success in the classroom consistent with the mission of the
Goddard School. The teaching load for academically qualified individuals is
three courses per semester (for Instructors and others, the teaching load
will be four courses per semester).

*School Information*

Weber State University occupies a beautiful campus nestled in the foothills
of the Wasatch Mountains in Ogden, Utah, which his 35 miles north of Salt
Lake City. The area offers year-round cultural events and outdoor
recreational activities. Major industries in the region include aerospace,
transportation/logistics, manufacturing, information technology,
biomedical, healthcare, and outdoor recreation products and services.

WSU maintains a small-school atmosphere despite its 26,000 full and
part-time students and prides itself on its quality teaching, its
commitment to meeting the needs of students at every stage of life, and its
ongoing service to the community. WSU is a predominately undergraduate
university, but has several excellent graduate programs housed within the
Goddard School of Business and Economics--including the MBA, Master of
Accounting, and Master of Taxation programs. The Goddard School is
committed to both teaching and research excellence as evidenced by its
AACSB accreditation, and its students regularly achieve mean scores above
the 90th percentile nationally on the ETS Major Field Tests at both
undergraduate business and MBA levels.
