[AISWorld] WPI's New Ph.D. Program

We are thrilled to inform the academic community about our newly established Ph.D. Program in Business Administration, which will welcome its first class in the fall of 2014!
Building on Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s 149 years’ of legacy in teaching theory with practice in the fields of engineering and technology, the School of Business strives to provide the best education in technological innovation and entrepreneurship at all levels. This newly launched doctoral program complements and extends our existing strengths and offers three concentration areas:

-       Entrepreneurship

-       Information Technology

-       Operations Management
Led and advised by our world-class faculty, this degree program blends solid theoretical foundation with practical implications, investigates pressing and challenging issues faced by the technological and entrepreneurial world, and produces next-generation research scholars as well as key members in organizations’ think tanks and visioneering teams.
In addition to rigorous curriculum and research expectations, the program allows for a customized training plan and flexible residency schedule, embraces diverse research interests and methodologies, and welcomes both individually and corporate sponsored research topics.
Admitted students will be supported by a variety of financial sources, including traditional teaching and research assistantships, fellowships, and corporate scholarships. Successful doctoral candidates will work closely with their dissertation advisors and engage in various academic activities to prepare themselves for their future careers.
