Detailed instructions for electronic paper preparation and submission can
be found
at www.servicescongress.org.

The Cloud Industry Summit gives industry participants a forum to formally
present
their work at the conference but with only a lightweight submission
compared to a
full paper. A two-page abstract is required and will be published in the
proceedings. We hope this forum will provide an outlet for industry
participants to
engage with academics and others from industry working in related areas.
This 8th Global Cloud Industry Summit is intended to bridge the gap
between Services
Computing and Business models that are supported by them, with an emerging
suite of
ground-breaking technologies that includes cloud computing, SOA, business
process
modeling, big-data analytics and Web 2.0. Best practices of these emerging
technologies, standards and concepts need to be clarified for the
pragmatic needs of
the industry.

Industry Summit Chairs
Shiping Chen, CSIRO, Australia
Eric Wohlstadter, University of British Columbia, Canada

Theme

The CIS event is focused on industry practitioners who work on real-world
systems,
applying the SOA principles, cloud-computing technologies, and big data
analytics
solutions. In addition to best practices or, in the case of an emerging
discipline,
adequate practices that have proven successful are needed. In addition
warning
examples of how not to apply projects are also welcome because they
provide a venue
and context for avoiding common pitfalls. These papers will be evaluated
on their
relevance and significance to industries and the clarity of expression.

All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, which
will be
included in the IEEE digital library and Engineering Index (EI) database.
