Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to attend a 2-day workshop on Integrating Financial Literacy and Game-Based Learning into Computing Education. Funded by NSF, this workshop will demonstrate how to effectively integrate financial literacy into introductory level computing courses and use game-based learning to engage students to learn computing and financial literacy simultaneously.

With two thirds of undergraduates having substantial student loan debt and the total outstanding debt surpassing $1 trillion, financial literacy is exceedingly important to students. Through this workshop, you will see how this need can be addressed within the Information Systems curricular.

The workshop will be on June 5-6 at UMass Lowell. Lowell is only 25 miles north of Boston. Registration is free (with limited seats) at http://tinyurl.com/kyofrqh
Lodging: UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center, http://www.acc-umlinnandconferencecenter.com
(ask for University Rate, $99/night + taxes; limited capacity; book early)
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at harry_zhu at uml.edu

Thanks,
Harry
