Comunicar, the Media Education Research Journal, will publish a special issue on "Communicating in an Aging World: Challenges and Opportunities"

Comunicar is an open-access journal published in English and Spanish online and in print (http://www.comunicarjournal.com).

Paper topics include, but are not limited to, media/IT literacy and access with respect to age, planning and designing for the aging  workforce, inter-generational  communication and cooperation, training and information design for the elderly, designing for changing abilities, enabling greater participation and contribution of the elderly through better designs, media/IT support for healthy and active aging, and the role of media/IT in addressing marginalization, mistreatment and neglect of the elderly.
