Dear AISWorld Colleagues,

I’m writing to tell you about a new, recently published resource that many
of you might find useful either for teaching or for your own learning about
new areas of research. CRC / Chapman & Hall’s* Computing Handbook* has in
its third edition been expanded to include *Volume II on Information
Systems and Information Technology*
<http://www.crcpress.com/product/isbn/9781439898543>, edited by Heikki Topi
with Handbook editor-in-chief Allen Tucker. This volume consists of nine
parts and 72 chapters; the authors of the chapters are recognized leaders
in their respective areas of study (see below for the table of contents).
Each chapter provides an introduction to the current state-of-the-art and
future directions of an area of research. In addition, the chapters offer
insights on contributions of academic research to the practice of IS and IT
development, use, and management.

I hope you will find the IS/IT volume of Computing Handbook a valuable
resource that will be useful in a variety of ways. I also welcome any
feedback regarding the volume.

Finally, I would like to thank the authors for their outstanding work that
made this volume possible!

With best regards,

Heikki Topi
