The symposium is organised around four suggested, but not exhaustive, themes:

 Information and communication technology, productivity and economic growth

 Broadband adoption and its impact on rural and regional communities and businesses

 Social and policy challenges of the digital divide: social exclusion, inequality, social capital

 Digital futures, the knowledge economy and digital economic strategies


Please note that research areas outside these four suggested themes are also sought. The symposium programme is open to any substantive areas of formal and informal research on Broadband and digital futures and their impacts on the community and regional economy.

Each theme will have either plenary, panel or keynote sessions where papers are presented, and discussions will follow as appropriate. Concurrent papers will be offered as 30 minute sessions including question time.

Only full papers will be accepted and blind peer-reviewed. Selected papers will have the opportunity to be included in an edited book publication.

Note that your participation in this symposium can be in person or virtual via video conferencing
