The Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne seeks to fill, as of now, the position of a
Full Professorship for Information Systems
The candidate has already published his or her outstanding research in distinguished international journals. The research emphasis should lie in the fields of Design of Social Media Information Systems, Web/Network Science, Analysis of Social Media and Social Networks / Social Computing, Research Methods for the Analysis of (un-)structured Data (Da-ta/Text/Web-Mining), Design and Management of Electronic Markets, Network Infrastructures. Successful applicants will be expected to actively commit in interdisciplinary research and joint research projects with other faculties.
He/She shall provide classes on a B.Sc. and M.Sc. level in Information Systems and for the recent Major Media Management (as a part of the M.Sc Business Administration). Furthermore, the successful candidate will participate in the further development of the class program for the Cologne Graduate School.
Besides pedagogical aptitude, the ability to teaching English and participation in tasks of academic self-government in international cooperation and exchange programs and the further internationalization of the study programs are expected.
