Please accept apologies for multiple posting.

The submission is open for the "Collaboration, Flying Solo and Emerging
Information Technologies" track at the Australian Conference on Information
Systems.

   - Date: 8th-10th December 2014
   - Location: Auckland, New Zealand (see details via
   http://bis2.aut.ac.nz/acis2014/)

This conference is being held just before the International Conference on
Information Systems http://icis2014.aisnet.org/ making it easy to attend
both conferences.

The medium of collaboration is changing as groups and individuals rely on
information communication technologies (ICT). The world became flat with
high-speed communication and ICT (Friedman 2006). Early adopters quickly
took advantage of these technologies, from web conferences to virtual
workspaces. These virtual tools have not fully replaced conventional
collaboration, but they have had significant impact on the way we connect,
communicate, coordinate, cooperate, and collaborate. Initially ICT tools
were standalone software and hardware (such as a PC with a video
conferencing application) but today they moved to the cloud within the
ecosystem of internet of things such as Google+ Hangouts. This track
solicits research studies that explore current and emerging collaborative
information technology research. Research focusing on the ways in which
these technologies have changed the nature of work and social interaction
are particularly welcome.

Suggested topics include, but not limited to:

   - The role of emerging technologies
      - Wearable user interfaces
      - Speech-to-speech translation
      - Internet of things
      - Gamification
   - Cloud computing
   - Social media collaboration
   - Open source collaboration
   - Role of IT in project dynamics (such as performance, turnover, scope
   change)
   - Strategic use of collaborative information technologies in project
   management
   - Empirical studies in technology mediated teamwork
   - ICT and the individual
   - Emerging work practices
   - Knowledge management and knowledge sharing
   - Mobile technology
   - IPv6

Full papers and shorter work-in-progress papers are welcome. For full
details see
