Inaugural AMCIS Doctoral Program Directors Annual Meeting

We are soliciting interest in participation in the inaugural AMCIS Doctoral Program Directors Meeting.

This inaugural meeting is intended as an annual forum for exchanging ideas and discussing issues, opportunities, and challenges of interest to IS doctoral programs in doctoral degree granting institutions. Departments that do not yet have an active doctoral program but have one in the works are also welcome to attend.

This year's annual meeting is tentatively scheduled over breakfast from 7:30-8:30am on Friday, Aug 8th at AMCIS 2014 in Savannah, Georgia.

There is no cost for attendance because this year's meeting is jointly sponsored by Temple University and University of Georgia. However, attendance is limited to the first 25 respondents.

The tentative topics for discussion include recruitment, retention, funding, and acculturation of new doctoral students into the field. The meeting is contingent on sufficient interest from the community.
