The Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Methods Department, The
University of Texas-Pan American, seeks applicants for one one-year
Lecturer position beginning Fall semester of 2014 to join our department
(official first day of the semester is August 25). We seek dynamic
colleagues who welcome the challenge of teaching in established
undergraduate, masters and doctoral programs.

Applicants should have a Master’s Degree; a doctorate is preferred, in CIS
or a closely related field. Applicants must have the ability to teach a
variety of computer and management information systems courses, including:
programming, database management, networks, information technology,
introduction to management information systems, and other CIS-oriented
topics. Interest in the areas of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Health
Information Technology (HIT), or Information Security is a plus. The
selected candidate is also expected to provide service to the department,
college, university and community. Applicants should have excellent
communication skills, a collegial approach to faculty and student
interactions, dedication to excellence in teaching, and a sincere
appreciation of cultural diversity. Applicants must have at least 18 hours
of IS and IT related graduate courses.

61) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a satisfactory
test score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System
(IELTS).
