The Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS) is the premier conference in Australasia for Information Systems. In 2014, the 25th Australasian Conference on Information Systems will be hosted by the Department of Business Information Systems at the School of Business, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. The event will take place at newly opened Sir Paul Reeves building in the heart of Auckland city from 8th-10th December 2014. Better known as the City of Sails, Auckland consistently ranks among the top 5 cities in the world to live with beaches and hiking trails to fine dining and great variety of wine to taste.

Conference Theme: Integral IS - The Embedding of Information Systems in Business, Government and Society

IS is an integral part of society. Integral is defined as: ?belonging as a part of the whole; necessary for the completeness of the whole; or as important, vital, central, and essential.?   Integral IS means information and technology seamlessly integrated into our social and working lives. As IS researchers and practitioners, we create, design, implement and maintain the systems that play an increasingly important, almost inescapable, role in our lives today.  The implementation and effects of seamless integration on such a large scale raise a number of very important issues for practice and research: issues that the Information Systems community should be taking the lead to explore and explain to the wider community.
