The International Symposium on Environmental Software Systems

ISESS 2015 Conference
March 25-27, 2015, Melbourne, AUSTRALIA

Dear Colleagues,

We have the following news regarding ISESS 2015.

1. Visibility of publications

Your publication at ISESS is likely to receive considerable interest in the scientific community.

The ISESS 2011 and 2013 books “Environmental Software Systems”, part of the IFIP-AICT series and indexed by ISI and SCOPUS,
have recently shown excellent visibility in the community.

Both are among the top 25% of downloaded e-Books in the Springer eBook collection in 2013.

Performance report for 2011 proceedings are available here: (http://www.springer.com/alert/urltracking.do?id=L4b90cbbMf74747Sae51d2d)
Book home pages are here: http://www.springer.com/computer/book/978-3-642-22284-9, http://www.springer.com/book/978-3-642-41150-2

2. Topic: Use of Computing Infrastructures for the simulation of environmental phenomena

Together with the National Computing Infrastructure (http://nci.org.au), which is one of the conference supporters, we plan a
special topic / stream / workshop on the use of computing infrastructures and parallel simulation of environmental phenomena,
potentially on the day prior to the conference. This activity is aimed at discussing new technological opportunities and practical gaps.
If you are interested to contribute, please contact Ralf Denzer (ralf.denzer at enviromatics.org<mailto:ralf.denzer at enviromatics.org>) and Robert Argent (r.argent at bom.gov.au<mailto:r.argent at bom.gov.au>)
in addition to registering your abstract at the web site.

3. Call for Special Topics

If you think that a specific topic should be organised as a stream / workshop please contact Ralf Denzer (ralf.denzer at enviromatics.org<mailto:ralf.denzer at enviromatics.org>).

4. 4-page abstracts, abstract pre-registration, abstract submission are on-line

The submission page is on-line. Remember that unlike many conferences, we request 3-4 page abstracts, in order to give high quality review comments back already at the first reviewing stage. Abstract submission is available now.

If you intend to submit an abstract, please pre-register your paper title right away or submit your 4-page abstract.

Find attached the second version of the Call for Papers.

Kind regards,

Gerald Schimak
