CALL FOR PAPERS
23rd European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS 2015)
Track: Information System Development
http://www.ecis2015.eu/participation/list-tracks/15-information-system-development

May 27-29, 2015, Münster, Germany (http://ecis2015.eu/)

TRACK CHAIRS
• Stefan Gruner, University of Pretoria, South Africa
• Agnes Koschmider, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany
• Herbert Kuchen, University of Münster, Germany (corresponding track
chair)
• Alta van der Merwe, University of Pretoria, South Africa
DESCRIPTION
The track shall consider information systems from a software
engineering perspective (in the broadest sense). All corresponding
aspects are of interest. A special focus is on the architecture of
information systems, on business apps, on modeling information systems,
and on transforming such models to more specific models and finally to
code. Contributions with a solid formal basis are of particular
interest.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
• IS Architectures
• Enterprise Architecture Management
• Enterprise Application Integration
• Tools for IS Development
• Requirements Engineering for Information Systems
• Model-Driven Software Development
• Domain-Specific Languages
• Developing Business Apps
• Platform-independent IS Development
• Testing Information Systems
• Using Ontologies in IS
• Application Performance Management
In particular the topics Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM),
Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), Developing Business Apps, and
Platform-independent IS Development align well with the theme of the
conference. Typically, the software landscape of an enterprise consists
of a complex network of
information systems. EAM and EAI address the structuring of this
landscape. Moreover, more and more mobile devices and corresponding
business apps are used to extend business processes and the
corresponding network of devices and software systems. Since this
typically involves several incompatible platforms, approaches for
platform-independent IS development become relevant. Other, more generic
subjects such as tools, requirements engineering, MDSD, DSLs, and
testing complement these fields.
