1. Recording available for 'CodeRunner: authentic e-assessment for computer programming' held 3 September.
Presenter: Richard Lobb, University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
This session explored the features of CodeRunner; a Moodle question type in which student submitted program code is automatically evaluated against a range of test criteria and a grade assigned.

2. Online e-Assessment Conference starts next week!
Transforming Assessment and eAssessment Scotland 2014 Joint Online Conference.
This year the free online e-Assessment conference features a series of ten presentations in line with the conference theme, "Final answer? The question of summative assessment". Ten experts from around the world will present and discuss a range of approaches to the computerisation of tests and high stakes examinations. The online conference will run between Monday 8 September and Friday 19 September.

3. October 1st webinar: e-Assessment for all - from rhetoric to realities.
Abi James – Chair British Dyslexia Association, consultant Assistive Learning, UK
Alistair McNaught – Senior advisor, Jisc TechDis, UK
Paul Nisbet - Senior Research Fellow and Joint Coordinator of CALL Scotland.
This session will explore some of the key facets of accessible e-assessment to enable access for learners with print disabilities ranging from dyslexia to visual impairment including those with difficulties handling hard copy print. Examples of formal and informal assessments will be discussed along with some particular issues that relate to making maths and science notation accessible.
