Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Business Intelligence & Analytics 

The Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position in Business Intelligence & Analytics at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with an expected start date of August 2015. Of particular interest are applicants with backgrounds in Data Science, Statistics, Information Visualization, Machine Learning and related fields. This position is part of the Howe School’s strategic plan of hiring two to four faculty members annually over the next few years. The position is available immediately and applications will be accepted until the position is filled. 

Qualifications: Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Information Systems or other related discipline. Degree must be completed before August 2015. Candidates should have potential for excellence in research and teaching. Industry and/or government experience within these fields is a plus. 

Job Responsibility: Stevens Institute of Technology emphasizes a balance between research and teaching. Current research clusters at the Howe School focus on three areas: 
•	Decision Analytics and Big Data: Building collective intelligence. 
•	Collaboration and Networks: Understanding the changing nature of teams, organizations, crowds, and markets. 
•	Creativity and Innovation: Generating products and processes. 

Howe School faculty are active in research involving design science, social network analysis, collective intelligence, and process innovation. Candidates are expected to complement and enhance the research activities of the school with their own scholarly activities, advise Ph.D. students, and are expected to publish in top journals of their field. Successful candidates are expected to teach in our graduate program in Business Intelligence & Analytics and/or Information Systems.
