Doctoral students encouraged to submit

SAIS 2015 Conference
March 20-21, 2015
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

The Southern Association for Information Systems (SAIS) is an official chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). The annual SAIS conference is an intimate gathering of information systems academics with fewer than one hundred participants. Past SAIS conferences have attracted doctoral students and faculty, including many recognized scholars, from around the US and around the globe. SAIS 2015 will be held in beautiful Hilton Head Island, SC. Bring your family to experience Hilton Head's miles of pristine sandy beaches, extensive selection of restaurants, and 20+ championship golf courses.

SAIS 2015 provides an opportunity for close interaction among presenters and attendees. Both completed research and research-in-progress papers from all areas related to information systems are invited for submission. All papers will be included in the conference proceedings, and authors have the option of including their papers in the AIS e-Library. In addition, selected papers will be fast-tracked for publication in the new Journal of the Southern Association for Information Systems (JSAIS) (http://www.jsais.org/), with George Schell as Editor and Craig Van Slyke as Founding Editor.

Hilton Head Island is situated in an area of coastal South Carolina and Georgia known as the Lowcountry which boasts a rich history and heritage in addition to many modern amenities. While you are in Hilton Head, plan to sample its wide selection of outstanding restaurants ranging from casual beachfront options to elegant fine dining. Book a sunset cruise and enjoy dinner from the water. Opportunities for outdoor activities are numerous; the Island's 20+ championship golf courses make for a golfer's paradise. Hilton Head has more than 12 miles of beautiful sand beaches with opportunities for hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and much more. There are also many cultural opportunities available. Plan to visit the Coastal Discovery Museum to learn about Lowcountry heritage and history or climb the Harbor Town Lighthouse to visit the world's only store at the top of a lighthouse. For those who wish to extend their trip, Hilton Head is located an hour from Savannah, GA and only two hours from Charleston, SC.
