Assistant Professor of Information Systems - 999682

Drake University's College of Business and Public Administration invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Information Systems.   Essential functions include teaching at the undergraduate and MBA levels and advancing the profession through research, publishing, and service. The successful candidate will be expected to teach two or more of the following topics: electronic commerce, database management, computer programming, network management, and information systems analysis and design.  Preference will be given to candidates with a secondary strength in data analytics or business intelligence. Appointment becomes effective August 2015.

Applicants are expected to have a PhD, or be in the later stages of completing a dissertation with a specialization in information systems, and must be able to provide evidence of teaching effectiveness and scholarly productivity.  Preference will be given to candidates with exceptional undergraduate and graduate teaching performance, an established publication record, and relevant and significant business experience.
