THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA- CHAMPAIGN

College of Business, Department of Business Administration,
Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Information Systems


The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites candidates to apply
for a tenure-track open rank faculty position in Information Systems (IS)
which will be starting August 2015 in the Department of Business
Administration, College of Business, University of Illinois. Salary is
competitive.

The IS area is one of six areas in the Department of Business
Administration, College of Business. The IS area provides support for the
undergraduate IS/IT program, the Information Management/ IT Concentration
at the MBA and MS level, and the Ph.D. Program. The University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign is the flagship campus of University of Illinois and
excels in interdisciplinary research. The IS faculty maintains strong ties
with other campus units, including the National Center for Supercomputing
Applications (NCSA) and the Information Trust Institute (ITI)

The successful candidate should excel in teaching and research as well as
publish in top tier IS research journals. Candidates focusing on Big Data,
Analytics, and Business Intelligence would be preferred. Candidates must
have a Ph.D. in a relevant field by the starting date and be ready to teach
undergraduate and/or graduate business students effectively.
