Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Information Systems
University of Massachusetts Boston

The Department of Management Science and Information Systems at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Information Systems, starting September 1, 2015. The Department is seeking faculty candidates who have demonstrated potential to conduct research and publish in high quality journals. The Department is part of the AACSB-accredited College of Management, which offers two bachelor and five master's degrees; a doctoral program started in Fall 2012 with an MIS track launching in 2016. Total enrollment has grown rapidly to about 2400 students and the college is home to several thriving business centers. The individual hired will have a major role in bachelor and graduate programs. UMass Boston (www.umb.edu<http://www.umb.edu/>) is a Carnegie-classified research-high university, located on Boston harbor in one of the most intellectually rich and innovative cities in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications:
Preference will be given to the candidates whose research or teaching interests include system development and integration, or security and computer forensics. Candidates with research or teaching interests in the area of data analytics, big data, and other related topics will also be considered. A successful candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Information Systems or a closely related field by the start of the 2015 fall semester. The candidate should demonstrate potential to be an effective teacher of graduate and undergraduate courses based on the Department's needs and evidence of potential to publish in top IS journals. The candidate is also expected to interact effectively with a culturally diverse population of students and colleagues.
