The Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) Department in the College of Business, University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Information Systems with an open rank, starting fall 2015. 

Applicants must possess a doctorate in Information Systems or a related field from an AACSB accredited (or equivalent) university by the date of appointment. Applicants must have the potential for both high quality academic research and high quality teaching, and be willing to support the department and its initiatives.  The position carries a competitive pay and benefit package, and generous travel support. Standard teaching load for tenure-track faculty in the College of Business is 6 credit hours (2 classes) per semester. A reduced teaching load is available to highly research productive faculty.  Summer support is provided on a competitive basis. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching interest in one or more of the following areas:  Business Analytics, Mobile Application Development, and Information Security.  

The Information Systems (IS) area is part of the ISOM Department, which offers courses in Information Systems, Operations Management, and Business Statistics in the College’s undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, MSIS, MS Business Analytics, and Ph.D. programs. The IS faculty has diverse research interest and are very active in conducting high impact research and publishing in premier research journals. The College of Business, which has been accredited by the AACSB since 1969, employs about 180 full time faculty members and serves about 4,500 undergraduate students and 1,500 graduate students.  More information about the college can be found at: http://www.uta.edu/business/index.php.
