The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (www.bgu.ac.il<http://www.bgu.ac.il>) in Israel invites outstanding researchers to apply for a tenure-track faculty position in  Information Systems (IS).

The IEM Department is engaged in applied and theoretical cutting-edge research and provides world-class engineering education to 800 undergraduate and 150 graduate students.  Students in our undergraduate program earn a B.Sc. degree and most are majoring in IS. Students in the graduate program earn a Masters (M.Sc.) or a Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree and may choose to major in Information Systems, possibly with a focus on Data Sciences and Business Analytics. The department and its 30 tenure-track faculty members from various other IEM disciplines, such as Production and Operation Systems, Applied Statistics, Intelligent Systems, Human Factors Engineering (Ergonomics),  or Industrical Management, emphasize a multidisciplinary approach in both research and education.


Requirements

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in IS-related areas from an internationally recognized institution and have high-quality scholarly achievements. Recruits will be expected to conduct research and publish research outcomes in top journals and conferences in the IS, acquire grants to support high-quality scholarly research, excel in developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, successfully supervise graduate students, and serve on academic committees. Teaching is held in Hebrew.

Successful applicants are expected to have:

·    Experience and expertise in an IS-related area of research (e.g., business intelligence and analytics, e-healthcare, IT strategy and economics, social networks)

·    Excellent command of the Hebrew and English languages

·    Excellent didactic qualities and enthusiasm for teaching and supervising students

·    Publications in top journals and presentations at leading conferences

·    Strong commitment and high potential for collaborating with peers
