Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Information Systems (IS) beginning August, 2015. The School of Business at Slippery Rock University offers a BS in Information Systems and an MBA which relies on several IS courses. Duties include excellent classroom instruction, research and scholarly growth that may involve undergraduate students, academic advising, committee work at departmental, college, and university levels, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Information Systems or closely related field. Successful performance in an on-campus interview, including a teaching demonstration, is required. Commitment to the education of diverse populations. Perceived ability to work productively with students and colleagues, and to engage in appropriate research is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Areas of interest to the department are: health care, cyber security, data/business analytics and cross-disciplinary collaboration, but all areas of IS will be entertained. Preference will be given to candidates haveing a demonstrable research agenda in core Information Systems areas that can include undergraduates.

This is a full time temporary position to teach courses in the area of Information Systems.
Minimum Qualifications
MBA or equivalent degree. Successful performance in an on-campus interview, including teaching demonstration. Commitment the education of diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Information Systems or closely related field. Preference given to those with background/experience in health care, cyber security and/or data/business analytics. Prior teaching experience in Information Systems courses, such as Productivity Software (Office Suite) and MIS (Management of Information Systems).
