Are you interested in a new research endeavour with a great research team, working with industry and applying business process management and data mining skills to insurance claims management?

We have an outstanding opportunity available for an innovative researcher in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems to join the Business Process Management Discipline at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.
The position is for up to 1.5 years (preferably starting by June 2015) to work in the context of the Accelerate Grant funded project in collaboration with Queensland Motors Accidents Insurance Commission.

The salary scale for the position will be between AUD $60 000 - $90 000 pa depending on your experience) plus 17% employer superannuation. SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential:
1.      PhD in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Information Systems
2.      Proven in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art methods and languages in the field of Business Process Management (e.g. BPMN, BPEL, YAWL, EPCs).
3.      Proven in-depth knowledge of mathematical techniques underlying Business Process Management (e.g. Petri nets) and process mining (e.g. statistics, data mining);
4.      Proven research expertise in process mining techniques (e.g. discovery, conformance, operational support);
5.      Proven in-depth knowledge of tools in the area of process mining (e.g. ProM, Disco);
6.      Strong research track record in Business Process Management, as evidenced by publications in top journals and conferences in this field.
7.      Demonstrated well developed oral communication skills to present research findings to internal and external audiences.

Desirable:
8.      Experience with industry-based projects.
9.      At least two years research experience post PhD.
