Non-tenure Track Assistant Professor

GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY invites applications and nominations for a non-tenure-track clinical faculty position effective fall semester 2015.  Depending on the qualifications of the successful candidate, the position will be based in either the Department of Computer Information Systems or the Institute of Health Administration. Rank is open but we expect to hire at the level of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor.

Candidates must have demonstrated high-level classroom performance, professional experience, demonstrated high-level teaching experience, and demonstrated capability for scholarly research (including practitioner and interdisciplinary research), and publications in leading refereed IS, IT, and healthcare-related journals.

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in health administration, health services research or management, public health or policy, or in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields from an AACSB-accredited university or international equivalent, and have a deep understanding of both information technology and the healthcare environment.   Preference may be given to candidates with proven experience in the health information technology, healthcare delivery sector, especially hospital, governance, and health policy.

The Department of Computer Information Systems in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University offers degree programs with majors in information systems at the B.BA., M.S., and Ph.D. levels. The Department of Computer Information Systems is consistently ranked as one of the top information systems departments in the world.



The College's health sector focus is nationally known for its unique, integrated double-degree MBA/MHA program, and its health informatics focus with Computer Information Systems and Nursing, as well as its joint JD/MSHA program with the GSU College of Law.
