One non-tenure track position


The Operations and Information Management Department in the School of Business at the University of Connecticut invites applications for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Instructor in-Residence or Assistant Professor in-Residence for teaching, service, outreach, and research, in the areas of Management Information Systems (MIS) and Operations Management (OM).  We encourage applications from candidates whose expertise and interest is in technical and quantitative areas of MIS and OM.  The position will be primarily based at the University's Hartford regional campus, but may also require teaching courses at our Waterbury, Storrs or Stamford campuses.

We are pleased to continue these investments by inviting applications for faculty positions in the Department of Operations and Information Management at the rank of Instructor in-Residence or Assistant Professor in-Residence.

The Department of Operations and Information Management is among the top 10 in the research rankings by the Association of Information Systems. The 20+ faculty in the department are actively engaged in cutting-edge research in information systems and operations management.

This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track position with an anticipated start date of August 23, 2015.  The successful candidate's primary academic appointment will be at the University's Hartford regional campus with the possibility of assignment at other regional campuses.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience


Candidates for the Assistant Professor In-Residence level must have demonstrated excellence or strong potential in teaching and possess a Ph.D. in an appropriate field.  Candidates with teaching excellence but no Ph.D. degree in place before start of the academic year will be considered for an Instructor In-Residence appointment.   Qualified applicants at the Instructor rank must possess a Master's degree and demonstrated teaching excellence in relevant courses.  Qualified candidates at the Assistant Professor rank must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree as well as demonstrated teaching excellence in relevant courses.
