Assistant Professor or Associate Professor position in Cyber Security (Information Systems Security, Information Security Management or Privacy).

In the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, the future focus of cyber security is on information systems security and information security management. Current research topics include information security behaviours of offenders and users, information security investments, methods for secure systems design and policy development. About the Department

The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems is composed of information systems and computer science. Faculty members of the department have published their research in leading Information Systems journals, such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, and others. Faculty members hold editorial positions in reputable IS journals. The department has very strong connections to industry. Data collection opportunities are outstanding. The department has junior faculty sparring program, where world class visiting professors visit the department and provide mentoring for junior faculty members.

Cyber security is one of the the strategical focus areas of the university. The Faculty of Information Technology aims to be one of the leading research institutions in Finland and Europe in the field of Cyber Security. The profile and the competence of the hired candidate must be at such a level that it supports the achievement of this goal. The selected candidate is expected to conduct high level scientific research published in the best information systems journals, such as MIS Quarterly, Information systems research, JAIS, EJIS and others so called Basket of 6 journals. The candidate will also be expected to seek external research funding, actively co-operate in terms of research with the other faculty members of the department, to contribute to teaching and act as a supervisor for Master and Ph.D. students. Experience of conducting high quality scientific research by solving practically significant problems in company settings is considered as strength. Evidence of external research funding is also considered as a merit.
