Call for post-doctoral fellows: Connected Healthcare for Intellectual
Disability

 

Assist ID http://www.assistid.eu/ has an announced a call which funds
post-doctoral researchers.  This call will close on 30th June 2015.  Dr Ita
Richardson, Principal Investigator within Lero - the Irish Software Research
Centre (www.lero.ie) and ARCH - Applied Research in Connected Health
(www.arch.ie) at the University of Limerick, Limerick, Ireland, is teaming
with an organisation who provide Intellectual Disability Services.  She will
work with a suitable candidate to develop a research proposal which meets
the call requirements and the needs of the organisation.  She expects that
this will be an action research project, during with the Healthcare pathway
can be modified through the use of ICT and evaluated using both qualitative
and quantitative research methods.

 

Dr Richardson is interested in hearing from post-doctoral researchers who
fit the eligibility criteria below, and are interested in researching
Connected Healthcare for Intellectual Disability.  Please contact her at

Successful Fellows are expected to start in Nov/Dec 2015.   There will be a
second call from 1st July-30th September 2015. These Fellows are expected to
take up their positions in May 2016.  In this case, the Fellow will be
employed within the University of Limerick.

 

Eligibility criteria for the incoming mobility programme: 

1.      Fellows may be of any nationality but must be fluent in English
(both written and spoken). 

2.      Fellows must be Experienced Researchers: they shall, at the time of
the relevant deadline for submission of proposals) be in possession of a
doctoral degree or have at least four years of fulltime equivalent research
experience. Allowance is made for career breaks. 

3.      Fellows must engage in international geographical mobility: at the
time of the relevant deadline for submission of proposals, Experienced
Researchers shall not have resided or carried out their main activity (work,
studies, etc) in the Republic of Ireland (ROI) for more than 12 months in
the 3 years immediately prior to the submission deadline. Compulsory
national service and/or short stays such as holidays are not taken into
account. 

4.      The host organisation for the Incoming Mobility scheme is one of the
ROI universities participating in the DOCTRID Research Institute.
