The College of Information Science & Technology (IS&T) invites applications
for one tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The
expected start date is Fall 2016. The position is within the Department of
Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis (ISQA) and is open to all
research areas. Candidates must possess an appropriate doctorate or ABD in
Information Systems, or related disciplines including Information
Technology, Human Centered Computing, Human Computer Interaction, or
Information Management, from a nationally recognized program. Our
Department is seeking candidates with strong research and teaching
potential. Contributions to service within the university, business and/or
professional areas are expected.

The ISQA Department is engaged in internationally recognized research
funded through the National Science Foundation, the US Department of
Education, the National Institutes of Health, and numerous corporate
sponsors. We have published internationally in *MIS Quarterly*, the *European
Journal of Information Systems*, the *Journal of the Association for
Information Systems*, *Information Systems Journal*, *ACM Interactions,*
and the *Scandinavian Journal of Information Systems*. We have presented
our work at recent international conferences including the *International
Conference for Information Systems*, the *Citizen Science 2015 Conference*,
and the *Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences*. We have been
instrumental in the establishment and development of the Association for
Information Systems special interest groups SigGlobDev, SIGOPEN, and
SIGITProjMgmt. We manage three research labs in the ongoing investigation
of 3D environments, open communities, and information technology for
development. Finally, we host three international journals, the *Journal of
Information Technology for Development, Annals of Data Science,* and
the *International
Journal of Information Technology & Decision Making*.

The ISQA Department is a nationally recognized leader in service learning
initiatives and international student exchange programs. We have growing
enrollments, a rich diversity of students, and established connections with
the local business community, including the numerous Omaha-area Fortune 500
companies. E-learning and classroom innovation in technology-supported
pedagogy are of strategic importance to us. Our Department was the 2011
recipient of the system-wide Departmental Teaching Award, recognizing
teaching excellence as the top department across all four campuses of the
University of Nebraska system. Our Department is responsible for a Bachelor
of Science degree in Management Information Systems (accredited by ABET)
and a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems. The
master’s program offers dual degrees with Public Administration and the
College of Business, as well as certificate programs in such areas as
information assurance, data analytics, and project management. Our
Department is also a part of a college-wide Ph.D. in Information Technology.

The College of Information Science & Technology (IS&T) is a part of The
Peter Kiewit Institute of Information Science, Technology and Engineering
(PKI). The College of IS&T was founded nearly twenty ago, committed to
answering the urgent call for a robust information technology research
education. The College of Information Science and Technology established
itself as a pioneer in the IT schools movement, a path-breaking model we
have continued to drive forward. The College is home to over 50 faculty and
staff, and nearly 1,200 undergraduate and graduate students, and supports
over $10,000,000 in active grant funding.

The College of IS&T has more than 12 advanced research labs including a
multimedia technology lab, open community research lab, data mining lab,
networking and wireless lab, two telecommunications labs, and three
computer security and information assurance labs. The labs include
