MIT Sloan's Center for Information Systems Research (CISR) is searching for a Senior Lecturer and Executive Director to lead CISR's efforts to become the world's most influential university based research community focused on succeeding in the digital economy. Working with CISR's chairman and research director, the candidate will teach CISR research content to MBAs, executives, and CISR sponsors, while serving as executive director of the research center. This person will have responsibility for running the Center, including assessing and revising CISR's business model as well as establishing and implementing strategies to maximize the impact from MIT CISR research. Responsibilities include defining sponsorship models, teaching an MBA course on business transformations in the digital economy, supervising sponsor-defined MBA projects, representing CISR in discussions with existing and potential patrons and sponsors, teaching and directing executive education sessions, developing and implementing a marketing and communications strategy, overseeing the center's technology foundation and digital presence, designing and hosting CISR sponsor event programs, establishing close cooperative working relationships with other offices within MIT Sloan and across the Institute, maintaining a balanced scorecard to guide staff efforts, and leading HR recruitment and planning efforts. The candidate will report to the chairman of MIT CISR.

Candidates should possess an entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrated leadership skills, management experience, outstanding verbal and written communications skills, a record of outstanding teaching, and a background of working with senior executives. The ideal candidate will be familiar with technology management issues and will have experience teaching graduate students or executives. Please note that this is a teaching and management position-it does not offer research opportunities.
