[AISWorld] CfP: Pacific Telecommunications Council 2016 Conference

Colleagues -

The Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) will host its annual conference on January 17 - 20, 2016 in Honolulu, Hawaii.  The conference is pleased to offer two named awards for excellence in research: The Meheroo Jussawalla Research Prize Award for best overall participant research paper, and The O.S. Braunstein Student Prize Award for best student research paper at PTC'16. For submission details and additional information please follow this link<http://www.ptc.org/community/awards.html>.

*   The O.S. Braunstein Prize for the best student paper: deadline: July 06, 2015
*   The Meheroo Jussawalla Prize for best paper: proposal deadline: July 06, 2015.

The winner of each prize will receive:

- US$1,000 cash award
- Conference registration waiver
- A speaking opportunity to present their paper at PTC'16 (January 17-20, 2016 in Honolulu, Hawaii)
- Up to US$1,500 for travel and accommodations
- A certificate presented at the PTC'16 Closing Lunch and Awards Ceremony

Papers for PTC'16 are welcome on a range of telecom and information and communications technologies topics (i.e. Wireless, Network Infrastructure Development, Satellite, Subsea Cables, Software-Defined Networks (SDN) / Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Cloud, Big Data, and Internet of Things (IoT), Societal Impact, Regulation & Policy, Cybersecurity, Digital Divide, etc).  Research topics may be interdisciplinary or grounded in a specific discipline (economics, political science, business, communications, public policy) and may reflect regional and/or cross-regional perspectives.

Note: the O.S. Braunstein Student Prize Award is a great opportunity for a student to gain exposure and experience with industry and academic audiences.
